Last week I plopped Amelia in the saddle after Margaret and William were done with their little riding lessons. It had been a while since she had gone on a pony ride and apparently there was a change in the time between. Something clicked and she has become a totally obsessed horse lover.
Girl after my own heart. She rode for at least half an hour, and even
then was still going strong and not at all convinced that we should
remove her from the horse.
At 18 months she knows a couple words and dispenses them on occasion when she sees fit. On this occasion she saw fit to quickly learn and implement the phrase "walk on!" every time Sackett attempted to come to a stop. She even trotted a little bit, and loved it (thank you Sackett, not many horses are safe enough for trotting with infants on board), and had him flexing his head with the reins. Horse trainer in the making.
