the oi update

Many years ago the now famous "Island Update" was first published in the upstairs of Gram & Grandper's cottage. I believe it was the brain child of three of my younger cousins, a trio nicknamed "Cerberus". Today it is still managed and published by the next set of cousins and delivered every morning to its subscribers. Everyone is encouraged to contribute submissions and this year Clay and I made the cut and made our breakthrough with our first joint publication. I'm not sure how many people actually completed it but we did get one compliment from prominent islander, John LePage. I see a future career developing.



Later in the week we also published some rambling thoughts drawn out of us by the salty air.
