Everyone knows the saying "the best things in life are free" but slightly lesser known is the saying "the best toys in life are cheap". Maybe because I just made it up. But really, what kids love best are things like cardboard boxes, pots & pans, mud pies, and paper towel tubes. Amelia has reached the chocolate chip bag stage. Forget all of the rattles and special crinkle books. All you need is a healthy appetite for chocolate chips and then after you empty the bag...voila, you have the best baby toy ever. It's a win win situation. Guaranteed to provide hours of entertainment for your little one. This is not a paid advertisement (although maybe it should be).

It's also convenient for hiding behind to suck your thumb, hoping your mom won't notice.

    Haha! She's a cutie. Kids' different stages are so cool to observe. Israel's in the I-want-something-covering-my-entire-head-while-I-sleep stage.

    I wouldn't have thought of a chocolate chip bag! I will keep it in mind for new baby. :) I know thumb sucking is a bad habit, but it is so cute.

    Forget all those expensive toys when we have kids; I'll stick with your advise :) By the way, little Amelia is not-so-little anymore! I love her chubby cheeks & big eyes!
