One year my brother got a button maker for his birthday (I think). We were all enthralled. He kindly allowed me to create my own design and I quickly whipped out several "Care for Critters" buttons, complete with original sketches of various "critters". Allison and Meredith were soon recruited to join the club and we skipped through the woods singing "Let the little creatures be".
I'm sure I still have some of those buttons somewhere.... However, with or without them, I think I have successfully recruited the next generation into the club:
I remember 'Care for Critters'! I'm pretty sure that button is safely stowed at my parents' home, amongst other childhood treasures :)
