Wild Thing, Clay's beautiful quarter horse gelding, passed this week due to a broken scapula. He was born and raised on this farm, growing up with Clay. He will be greatly missed.
He was there when Clay first brought me out to the farm to meet his family and ride around the fields.
He was there when Clay proposed to me down by the creek. He was there for our engagement photos.
He was there waiting for us when we returned from the northwest.
He was there ready to tote our kids around the farm
Just like he had patiently toted other kids around for years.
I'll miss his droopy lower lip. And his deep, low nicker every time you swung off his back.
Happy Trails, Wild Thing.
